Abstract

If you bisect conjoined two Mobius bands along each centerline, some of them end in interlocking hearts, and the others end in two separate hearts. What makes the difference between the happy outcome and the unhappy one? In this paper, we unravel this "Mobius Love-Fate problem" by using the concept of knot theory, as well as generalizing this theorem in various ways.
