Abstract

In this paper, we introduce the modified MM-algorithm (MMMA) and forward-backward modified MM-algorithm (FBMMMA). Furthermore, we prove that any sequence generated by the proposed algorithms converge to a set of solution. As applications, we apply the FBMMMA algorithm to solving image restoration problems. We found that our algorithm has a higher efficiency than the others in the literature.
